There is a clock which can be used to mark the time a child was born and a place to mark baby's weight and height.

It can be used to comb small child's first hair, stimulate the scalp, fontanelle. Silver has antibacterial properties. The ancient Indian books mentions that the water was disinfected by briefly dipping in it heated silver or leaving silver in the water for extended period of time. In ancient Egypt wounds were covered in silver plates in order to hasten healing.
